Floodzone aims to
provide rapid access to spatially explicit flood model results stored in
relational databases and accessed via GIS-based spatial decision support
systems to multiple hazard data custodians. The system architecture is a
hybrid approach consisting of both WWW-based interfaces and client-side
GIS software. Floodzone is developed, where possible, with
non-proprietary software to facilitate rapid and affordable adoption by
Australian hazard risk management groups.
